Please understand the following when preparing to purchase a quilt:

1. Unless otherwise stated, quilts were designed by Lucy A. Fazely (and Michael L. Burns from 2002 to 2009). Quilt sales include the sample quilt only, no rights to the design.
   
2. Most quilts have been made of the best quilting materials available today. If the fabric manufacturer is listed, then you can be sure the fabric is of good quality. Some scrap quilts are of mixed quality. All fabrics are 100% cotton unless specified. Backing fabrics may be from a different manufacturer than the one listed for the quilt front.
   
3. These quilts have been pieced and quilted by Lucy A. Fazely (and Michael L. Burns from 2002 to 2009), or by seamstresses that she relies on. The workmanship that goes into these quilts is of quality. These are not in the same league as quilts made in China by political prisoners with poor quality materials and their prices reflect that.
   
4. The fabrics in most of these quilts made before 2001 were pre-washed. Starting in 2001 most fabrics were not pre-washed. The quilts have not been washed since they were made, unless otherwise noted.
   
5. These are working quilts, being retired. They have been used as class samples, in lectures, photographed by publishers and hung in trade shows and minor damage or soiling may have occurred during their work. Obvious damage or soiling will be noted when we are aware of it. (See item #8 about returns)
   
6. Lucy now stores most of her quilts folded in a large cedar chest. Occasionally a crease will develop. Every effort has been made to keep the quilts in excellent shape, but creasing is part of storing quilts. Washing the quilt, steaming the crease or ironing can minimize creases. Do not attempt to remove creases if you are returning the quilt.
   
7. Quilts will be shipped by Priority Mail via the United States Postal Service. All shipments will be insured. All prices include insured shipping (insurance may not be provided on quilts or tops under $50). Shipping is included for US addresses only. E-mail for pricing to other destinations.
   
8. Once you receive the quilt, inspect it and make sure that it is of the quality and color you wanted. If is does not meet your expectations, call within 48 hours of delivery and arrange to return the quilt. Once the quilt is returned in the same condition that it was sent, you will be refunded the full cost of the quilt plus the cost of return shipping. After 48 hours of delivery, the quilt cannot be returned.
   
9. Do not send a payment until you have confirmed that the quilt is still available. The "Quilts for Sale" section of the website is not always as up-to-date as the rest of the site. Once you have been assured the quilt is available, it will be held 10 days while the funds are in transit.
   
10. Payment is by check or PayPal® only! Quilts must be pre-paid before they are shipped.
    
11. To confirm availability of a quilt, call Lucy at 989-739-7413 (also a fax line) or email her at lucy@lucyfazely.com. Occasionally, she is out of town teaching. She will answer as soon as she returns.
    
12. Once you have confirmed the quilt is available, you can send payment via PayPal or as a check to Lucy A. Fazely, PO Box 492, Oscoda, MI 48750. If paying by PayPal® please be sure to include a note with the payment on the quilt name and item number. Also be sure that your address is correct to receive a shipment from the US Post Office.
