QUILTER'S PHOTOS
March 7, 2004: My
name is Sherry Thompson and I will be leading a workshop on
using the internet and quilting for a retreat of 35-40 quilters
in April. Many of these women are fairly new to the internet
and do e-mail only. I'm trying to expose them to not only the
tons of resources and information available online, but also
the wonderful suppliers. I am doing a Business Fair section
where I showcase what the different internet companies have
to offer and would like to include your website. It offers artistic
patterns, resources, inspiration, and product information. I've
never seen such a creative use of watercolor. They are beautiful.
I really appreciate the educational tools and free patterns
as well. These will all be of interest to my audience. |

April 26, 2004: Well, the workshop
was a huge success. Thanks so much for sending the beautiful
door prizes. They were fought over! I've included a group
shot and some of the winners. Thanks again for helping
me out.

Dear Lucy,
Had to tell you what a hit your pattern for the Watercolor
Crucifix has been for me. I first made it in 2000 & donated
it to the Anglican Church where our Guild meets, & it is
hanging in the room where we meet. Everyone loves it! Then,
this past year, one of my quilting friends asked me to show
her how to make one for her son, who is a minister, so we got
together & each made one (my second). The first time I made
it square by square, put all the squares on my design wall,
rearranged & played, then sewed it together. The second
time, I used the gridded fusible. |

I donated the second one to my home church, St. Paul's United,
& on Easter morning, it was hanging on the front of the
Communion table. It has received many compliments. Hope you
don't mind...I am sending you a photo of it hanging in the church,
& one of the label I put on the back. Love your patterns.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Judy Steeves
