... 3/4 yard Fabric #8, very dark green background with medium/dark florals (#59148)
... 1 yard Fabric #9, black background with medium/dark florals (#59149)
... 1/3 yard bright yellow print
... 1/2 yards dark red print (#59034 suggested)

Directions: (A 1/4" seam allowance is included in all measurements)
Bright Yellow:
... Cut (3) 2-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 2-1/2" squares.
Fabric #1:
... Cut into (8) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 3-1/2"
Fabric #2:
... Cut into (13) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Fabric #3:
... Cut into (18) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 6-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 7-1/2"
Fabric #7:
... Cut into (11) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 4-1/2"
Fabric #8:
... Cut into (15) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 6-1/2"
Fabric #9:
... Cut into (22) 1-1/2" x 44" strips then cut into (48) 1-1/2" x 7-1/2" and (48) 1-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Dark Red:
... Cut (6) 2-1/2" x 44" strips then cut two into two equal lengths and add to full-length strips
Bright Red:
... Cut (8) 8-1/2" x 44" strips, make four borders each with two lengths sewn end-to-end
... Cut (8) 2-1/2" x 44" strips, sew end-to-end and press in half lengthwise for binding

1. Make forty-eight blocks as shown in block diagram. Starting with the 2-1/2" yellow square add the strips around the center in a counter-clockwise direction. Add the smaller of the two strips then the longer, adding fabrics in the following order: #1, #7, #2, #8, #3 then #9.

2. Lay out all blocks as shown in quilt diagram above. Stitch blocks into rows then sew rows together.
3. Add dark red then bright red borders, adding the right and left sides first then the top and bottom borders pressing and trimming as you go.
4. Layer backing, batting and quilt top. Baste and quilt as desired. Bind.
